Greg Stumbo

Greg Stumbo has had an extensive career in law and public service, having served as Attorney General, Speaker of the House of Representatives, and House Majority Floor Leader in the state of Kentucky.

In these roles, Greg was instrumental in going after internet pharmacies that shipped illegal narcotics into Kentucky, as well as successfully prosecuting a series of high-profile child predator cases. By creating Amanda’s Law, he also improved protections for victims of domestic violence, and in 2012 he sponsored legislation that became a national model for reducing prescription drug abuse.

Greg’s work includes educational reform, including an overhaul of Kentucky’s testing system of elementary and secondary schools, and sponsorship of the Kentucky Education Reform Act. He has also helped usher through legislation protecting Kentucky’s environmental quality and safety.
